We had a Give Energy system installed 9 months ago and in the middle of August the Battery stopped working. We've had the installer round and he's said it's a GiveEnergy Issue (Ticket number 59884) a blown capacitor apparently. I've rung weekly from then and I'm repeatedly told that there's no appointments for an engineer to attend for the next 2 weeks. I've been told this repeatedly for the last 4 weeks, meaning I'll have been waiting for 6 weeks. Of course, when I ring next week I'm certain that I'll be told the same again and it seems to go on like this. Has anyone experienced similar or managed to get an engineer round?

maxhume Don't mess about. Demand escalation immediately. You issue may be that there are no or too few trained engineers in your area. It's also been peak holiday season. Ask that they get an engineer to you from another area or head office.

I managed to get through to their HR at head office. She's passed it on as a complaint but I'll follow it up with another call tomorrow and try escalation too. Thanks.

maxhume Yup.

1 year into installation, still problems. Was finally promised a Giv engineer visit 5 weeks back, but still hasn't been scheduled. Barely able to get a reply from them nowadays.

I think (frankly) I've been too patient and too nice. Doesn't really get you anywhere.
