Help! First time since installation in March, my GivEnergy inverter and battery set up say they are fine but the solar panels are producing 1w and the battery is idle at 2%.
This is today at 11:20 in the morning and the sun is out.
Any ideas/help please? Or do I contact GivEnergy?
I've tried re-starting the inverter as well as re-setting it to factory settings using the desktop app.
No change.

netty Check that none of the solar MCBs have tripped (one in the house consumer unit and maybe one between the battery and inverter, depending on model). Other than that, I'd give your installer or Givenergy a call and ask them to have a look remotely.
Tim GivEnergy can't find anything remotely but I'll look for solar MCBs ... if you can tell me what that means!
The “fuse” or breaker in your fuse box.
As ever if you’re unsure of what you’re doing, get a qualified person to do it.
Maybe take a picture of the fuse box with the “door” open so you can see the MCB units would help.


The one labelled pv has turned off. push that one back up. pv means solar (photo voltaic)
I have never seen metal blanking plugs before, I wonder if they should be earthed?

I had similar this week after my battery decided to stop discharging but charged ok from Solar. When it was fixed I constantly showed no house load or solar which was stuck at 1 w. I called them up, they reset my system meters and it's all back to normal. 2nd time it's happened in 18 months but resetting the meters sorted it instantaneously.

I emailed GivEnergy last Thursday and phoned the company who fitted my solar panels as well.
They consulted my desktop app remotely and talked to GivEnergy and then the solar company sent out an electrician yesterday.
The electrician found a faulty isolator switch and changed it there and then.
All up and running again.
It is so important to have product support, particularly when your understanding of electricity doesn't even reach GCSE level.
