Smart plugs in google home?

Any sign of smart plugs being compatible with google home/assistant? I have them added to home assistant via tuya integration but its a bit clunky to say the least

I have some Tuya smart plugs and have integrated them with the Tuya HA integration but that goes via the cloud. Did get Tuya local working but it was less featured than the standard Tuya cloud integration.

I’m awaiting delivery of more smart plugs from mylocalbytes which integrate locally via Tasmota. The only real advantage of the GivEnergy plugs were that they are visible in the GE app whereas I care more about the HA integration, so hence Tasmota (or ESPhome)
