Hi - for the last 24 hours (this happened maybe once or twice before) my battery is at 94% (ish) but any Load power used has come in from the grid and any PV has been exported to grid, rather than be used by house load. Annoying !!

I am using the Beta system and had tried resetting to no avail. I then went to Inverter Settings and enabled Timed Charge - Submitted (was accepted) then disabled - Submitted (was accepted) ....... I did the same on Timed Discharge & Timed Export -which were all accepted. In the past, several times and again just now I've tried Reset to Defaults - but I get a Timeout error message

not sure if relevant but a while back my system had some weird symptoms where it charged from the grid when not expected, did not charge when expected and many of the values such as solar generation for the day were way out, After a couple of calls with techsupport they discovered the clock on my inverter was way out of sync. Once they resynced it all went back to normal.

I had something similar this week. Two days in a row the battery stopped discharging at 60%. I contacted GE support and they started a calibration of the battery and that seems to have fixed it now. I’d go ahead and ask GE to take a look at it for you.

KeithMersh1955RuthMary1971 Maybe also check that the DC breaker between the battery and inverter is switched on. If it trips there doesn’t seem to be any indication via the inverter events. The inverter can still talk to the battery over the Modbus connection, just not draw or push energy from/to it.

If that happens I get a DC lost error.

When one of our DC breakers was tripping the only way I knew it had happened was that the battery temp was being reported as 0. Battery voltage was oddly still reading like 5v but would slowly (very) keep tricking down over the course of days.

It's been fixed now, but some kind of alert to tell me the battery isn't doing anything would be nice.

dbt85 If, as @TheDragon (GivEnergy) states, loss of the battery DC connection causes the DC lost error, then the information is there, it's just that we're not in the habit of checking the event logs routinely. Because of this, I did raise a feature request to have the option of triggering an email to be sent to me when certain events are logged. I've never experienced the loss of connection between the inverter and battery and so was unaware of the event being logged. In any case, receiving an email, would help if you weren't at home scouring the portal endlessly.

Here are the notifications, showing 2 x battery not there. Both times was me testing.
Wording is "Check Connection on Battery"

Make sure ECO mode is turned on in the portal otherwise it won't use the battery on my system.
