AC3 max charge discharge now 2949watts?

I just wanted to check with people here before I raise a support ticket. But on my inverter card settings battery options the 3000w limit now maxes at 2949w? Its a silly little thing but not a change I was expecting? Checking remote control still says 3000w though!

Anyone else spotted this? Got this?

THALL Yes I have reported this. Had the following reply....

"Mickey W. (GivEnergy) has responded to your Bug Report titled Maximum Battery Charge/Discharge Settings They said: Hi David, It looked like our dev platform rounded the values too nicely! We've tested a range of inverter capacities to see if the conversion values are appending correctly and changed the logic to use the remote control logic. This hotfix will be pushed out in the next update".

Righto, well if only a graphical bug then no problem.

I logged an earlier problem where the battery charge/discharge value sent to the inverter did not match the value requested on the slider. The fix for this was applied on Monday but this has resulted in a drop the maximum value that can be set or displayed on the slider. The value 0f 3000W can still be set in remote control but it displays as 2949W on the slider. It's all my fault. 😅

Slider setting to 3000W (raw 50) now available again for battery charge/discharge power.

My max is 2611W, is this because of my 5.2 batteries?

Mal-Givenergy As far as i know the 5.2 is good for 60A (51.2V x 60A = 3000W)
I've not heard anyone yet say they struggle to hit that on the AC coupled (they would on the Hybrid as it's the Hybrid limiting it rather than the battery)

Mal-Givenergy Thats correct, the batteries are capped at 50% of their capacity so a 5.2kWh battery would be able to charge and discharge at 2.6kW. The 8.2kWh battery is capped at 4kW but then restricted by the inverter to 3kW. The newer model inverters coming out this year will be able to discharge at 3.6kW. Hope this helps.

Danlambert (GivEnergy) OK thanks, not an issue as I have 2 inverters, will it go up when I get another battery bolted on.

Seems like these max discharge values are not at all clear. There is another discussion on here where a user reports that with 1 AC3 connected to 2 x 8.2kWh they have a max discharge of circa 3.4kW which suggests it's not limited by the inverter. I suppose unless they are referring to the max battery discharge rather than the max inverter discharge. Like I say, not at all clear.

judgepd That correct, the battery discharges at around 3.2kW DC to ensure that 3.0kW AC can be delivered from the inverter.

Lovely clear table, many thanks....but does mean that other user isn't getting what they think they are.

I'd be a little annoyed personally about that if I'd just got one - all info would suggest that only the 2.6 has been kneecapped at 30A...

Danlambert (GivEnergy) So are you saying that under My Inverter/Battery Options the "Charge Power" slider is controlling battery input while the "Discharge Power" slider is controlling inverter output rather than battery output?
