Resetting wifi dongle

Having been forced to change my wireless system, my dongle no longer talks to it and I cannot get into the wifi feed of the dongle itself because I do not know the password. I know that I can reset the dongle with the button under the rubber cap at the end, but when I did it a few minutes ago, it does not seem to have reset. I cannot find any mention of how long the button needs to be pressed or whether I will see any LED indication that the reset has taken place. Can anyone tell me the full reset procedure?

ed-form best option is to rename your new wireless networks to match your old one, using the same passwords. Then everything will just reconnect.

Thanks for that Cdent. I chanced a call to GE support and got straight through - they told me to hold the button for 15 seconds and then give the system 15 minutes to get its act in gear. When I did this, I was able to log into the dongle's Wi-Fi stream using the standard password, which, in the case of my dongle, turned out to be 12345678. Reset the details to match my new Wi-Fi and it kicked in immediately.
