Hotspot to a phone

Having issues connecting the WiFi dongle to the customers phone as they have no internet in the house
Is this a possible method or a no go

Fyffee The dongle really needs intrnet access. I think it's also a condition of the waranty. The inverter needs to communicate with the GE servers. Theoretically, you could achieve this using a phone hotspot but, or course, as soon as you leave the location the inverter is cut off. There are GE dongles that can use GSM (mobile sim and network) for locations where there is no wifi or lan connection.
