I’ve changed the Charge Mode to Solar + Grid, set the start and end times to 0030 and 0430 (Octopus Go cheap times), and set “charge up to” at 20%, but the battery is still being discharged to about 8% when I charge the EV at night, leaving no power for the early morning. Any suggestions? Thanks.

jimscrim As long as your EV and Givenergy battery charge periods are the same, then the Givenergy battery should only discharge down to the Charge to % if it is above that when the timed period starts. If it's below, then it should charge up to that value; the house load being supplied from grid during the charge window. Maybe check the web portal to ensure that the settings made in the app have taken effect?

Make sure that the Discharge is set to Dynamic and that there are no Smart Tariff automations set. The Smart Tariff automation will override your manual setting.
