Hi
Sorry if this is a known issue but my Give energy dashboard seems to show things wrong way around.
The photo attached, smart meter shows exporting 154w excess solar to grid but givenergy app shows this as import being drawn from the grid.

Am I correct? Has installer put clamps on wrong direction?
Thanks
Pete

I should have said this means the house power being drawn is nearer 500w which would be what I would have expected with very little on invertor and 4 fridges/freezers.

Franko It the CT clamp is the wrong way round you’ll find that despite however much solar you generate the batteries never charge up because the inverter is forever trying to match what it thinks is an incoming feed but is actually outgoing.
This happened to me when the Eon engineer fitted a new smart meter, he put the CT Clamps on the wrong way round. Its dead simple to just unclip the latch and swap them round on the meter tail to verify.

Bear in mind that the givenergy data is sampled, on local mode its every 10 seconds, and Im sure the house display is as well so you will get discrepancies as the inverter is constantly trying to balance demand to solar and battery capacity

Great thanks.
I should have mentioned - currently it’s configured for a battery that’s not currently fitted but getting a different make delivered in a few weeks time. Guessing once any excess goes to charge battery once fitted should sort itself out.
Thanks

Franko yeah, defo sounds like Ct clamp the wrong way around.

What make of battery are you getting?

Wasn’t aware the GE inverter could be used with other makes of batteries?

Franko I’m not sure the presence or not of the battery would make a difference to the display.
What’s it show at night once the solar panels are not generating? Should be obvious if its showing export when you can only be importing
