AIO how much % do you leave incase of a power cut ?

How much capacity would be a good % to leave incase of a power cut?

Unknowns, the AIO currently has a default bottom limit of 4%, if the battery discharged to this amount and there was a power cut, would the battery still supply the house for a while (unknown time)

Would 10% be a good number to set incase of a power cut?
Should it be bigger say 25%

The above would have to be assumed on the length of the power cut, now a days they do not last very long so let’s just say based on two outages one for an hour and one for 4 hours?

Daveb01 it would all depend on what electrical appliances you deem necessary to run during a powercut and the expected length of the powercut. Low energy things like router, boiler, lights won't use a lot of energy, but if you want things like kettles, microwave, etc then you'll need more.

Also depends on the likelihood and impact of a powercut.

Do you want to never use the bottom (say) 10% of the usable part of the battery just in case you have a powercut?

Or do you want to risk it and hope the battery is charged when a powercut eventually happens?

Not using the whole battery may impact your return on investment (if you care about that - not everyone does).

I would say it is a personal choice, depends on how much load you have running and how long you would want the backup power to last. The AIO will carry on running/charging on solar if that is generating anything which is handy. I leave mine at 4% when I want to make best use of the capacity but will increase it if there is a storm etc, I might even set the reserve to 75% on Christmas Day to make sure the turkey is safe if it's stormy. I think a notification of mains failure would be a very useful feature so that you can act to conserve power if needed. I have submitted this as a 'feature request' but haven't heard anything back.
