Our system (Givenergy 5kw inverter plus 2 x 5kw batteries) has now been installed for 4 days and we are on the 2nd battery calibration already. Is this to be expected? Please can you advise the frequency or battery calibration (i.e. how often they calibrate) or if variable, what is the criteria that initiates a battery calibration. Also, if there are 2 separate batteries connected, i.e. an master and slave, do both calibrate at the same time?
For those of us on low tarrif nightime power, couldnt the battery recalibration be scheduled at night?

Is this an EON installed system?

I dont want to sound trying to be clever, but why 2 x5kw batteries in stead of 1 x Gen2 9.5kw? Was it so fit them into the available space you had?

No its not an EON system

I took the view that if one failed, the other would still function. In other words, reliability was important to me.

Jon S CEng rtd you should have done one calibration when the system was installed, if there was a firmware update that could explain the second. There should only be a full calibration on a firmware update really, unless there is need to do so (you're not seeing the full capacity of the batteries for instance).
Both should calibrate at the same time so they know where their true 0% and 100% levels are.
The calibration cannot be scheduled unless you choose to update the firmware at a time when your cheaper period is about to start.
