Sanity check required please... Am I reading this correctly? Our batteries dropped by 25% in an hour but there's very little usage showing. Not the classic sudden drop more a steady (or rather steep) inexplicable decline. Can anyone shed some light please?!
I assume this is an online correction. So while the battery is in use, as long as the draw is low (not sure of the exact limit) the firmware will compare the voltages with the SOC and try to confirm that it is correct. If not it will adjust the SOC until it thinks it is correct (mine adjusts at about 1% a minute on a 9.5kWh battery for reference). Once it has got to the level it thinks is correct it will stop. It doesn't show as any load on the system because you're not using any more electric, it's just fixing a misreporting SOC. The idea is that it prevents/reduces the old style SOC jumps/crashes where it would go to 0/100% suddenly. Mine adjusted from 24 down to 14 yesterday evening.

I know what you mean! Also if you see it happening real-time waiting with baited breath to see when the 'bottom' will be is interesting.
I would have hoped it would be doing this check a lot, like a lot a lot because it has to be reliable.
What I would love is a counter you can manually reset in the portal for when battery gets flat which tallies up kwh remaining and that will be based on a fresh charge from flat to full and take discharge/charge from meter readings.
Richard and Phil, interested to read this. Our battery frequently sees 100 &0% in a single day and has not had the significant drops. Hence I’ve not upgraded to this gradually re-cal version.
For each of you how often did you see full and zero charge before the new software? Thanks!
Judith my system was only installed in February, and without a time of use tariff it frequently sat empty (little solar), then in April it changed to frequently sitting full and never emptying (battery alone has the capacity to cover a day's usage) .
I used to see jumps to 100 (never more then about 15% worth, smaller jumps when it had been at 100 more recently) but never had a crash to 0.
Since upgrading to 3012 and then 3013 I have seen maybe 5 adjustments, they have all been downwards and have ranged from about 10% up to 40% in one go (the 40% one was after a week holiday where it was at full for extended periods and didn't drop below 80 so that may have impacted it.)
I know some people are having big problems with the latest firmware but the way it is currently working doesn't cause me any particular issues.
