AIO ignores discharge limit

Hello,

Hoping for a bit of help. I set my AIO to discharge from 5pm-7pm to take advantage of the flux peak rate with a lower limit of 20% but it just continues discharging all the way to 5% where it then stops and goes idle. I reset all settings and tried scheduling it through Octopus R&D with a lower limit of 20% and it blew right past it again to 5% where it stopped and then I went onto grid. Not helpful when it’s the flux peak period!

Is this a bug or have I got the settings wrong somehow?

Hi Dochtie,

A difficult one to reply to as everyone has their own idea on when to charge and discharge the battery.

The forums on this community for the AIO sometimes have different issues with settings.

If you change the charge and discharge watts then this will apply all the time not just for the period you have set, this also goes for the % remaining and where you want to be at the end of the export period.

If you have a DNO limits this also affects how long you should discharge.

My advice, leave the watts at 6000w, set the % you want to remain in the battery for EPS e.g 10%. Then just set the time you want to charge and discharge. If you want more money and less battery for the evening change the export to 1.5 or 2 hrs, but remember winter is coming. Also I have found if you charge the battery for say 3 hrs you draw from the grid during this period, if the battery gets to 100% the battery stops charging but the house now draws from the grid as the battery is not available until the end time. So I charge for say an hour or 2 max at 6000w that can be 12Kwh.

P.S, I will not be discharging soon as it gets darker and the clocks change, so will change the settings to dynamic, 6000w, 10%.
