I just set my battery to charge from the grid between 11:30 pm and 5:30 am and it started charging immediately even though it's not 11:30 pm yet. Can anyone tell me why this is? Here's a link to a video.

Battery charging outside of set time
Could be time is off on inverter and it thought its 00:23 currently, what time do you get on the portal?
If you want to check this you could set it to start charging 1h 2m ahead of your current time and see if it starts charging immediately or waits til the minute you set +1h.
The time on the portal is correct. I changed it to charge from midnight until 5:30 instead and it stopped charging. That said, it then didn't start charging at midnight either, or at any point overnight. I'll give it another 24 hours to see what happens.
It started charging at 10:30pm this evening, so I guess the inverter time is one hour out. How do I set the time on the inverter? I can't seem to find any options anywhere.
I noticed the times in the logs was an hour out. I've changed the timezone in the account settings. This doesn't seem to change the time on existing log entries, but new log entries are showing within old data. Do GivEnergy not use UTC for storing all their times and just update the display? My data looks a right mess for today now!
In the Account Settings make sure to set your area to GMT and then click "Sync" button to see if that helps.
Edit
You beat me to the punch a little but did you click "Sync" after changing to GMT.

Yes my inverter was set the GMT+1 after installation, which is our current time when on BST but that isn't what the setting means. It should be set to GMT which actually means London time zone, not the current time zone including daylight savings.
WillC Can't edit above post but let me know if all goes well tomorrow night 🙂 Be nice to find out you finally got it licked.
Thanks. I've done that which hopefully resolves the issue.
Jellybaby It looks like it stopped charging at the correct time this morning. So I think that's all sorted. Thanks.
WillC Fantastic, glad to hear it.
Where can the time be changed in the app I’ve hunted and can’t see where this is? Mine is doing the same thing so starts charging at 3am when it’s set to 2am?
Rossek Not sure if it can be done in the app. But the web portal works - go to Account settings in the blue bar on the LHS of the page
