For some reason my battery was at 72% and it instantly depleted to 0% even though I have a 10% battery reserve.
On the graph it shows no extra usage to cause this drop. When I click more info in the battery section of the app, it shows 67%.
When I check the physical battery, it shows 3/4 bars. So not sure why it says 0% on the app and why I'm importing from grid if the battery "should" have charge.
I'm confused, can someone offer any info?
Please ignore this post, I tripped the battery somehow. Must be the electric heater and treadmill I put on. But will leave the post up for awareness
Putting a high load on should not cause the battery to trip out. We have a battery that can give 2.6kW but every day I use a 7.5kW shower. The battery produces its 2.6kW and the grid provides the rest. The inverter should be configured to not draw more than the battery can supply.
If the battery trips it is due to excessive load - often caused by poor termination in the DC breaker - have you had it installed long? If its new, get the installer back as I bet the cables into the breaker don't have ferrules on or they have pinched the insulation. GE even supply the ferrules!

Sadly the ferrules supplied are not the same depth as the breaker will allow.
My dc breaker failed at 51 weeks despite terminations being perfect ( I checked myself) and my installer says he has had to replace a few for no obvious reason.
It always tripped when under full load FYI

nophead yeah my shower does the same. It doesn't trip all the time. It tripped twice yesterday, when I used an electric heater and treadmill at the same time. And when I put the washing machine on after that stuff was off. The shower was more than that, so maybe a loose connection?
What is tripping? Does the battery stay on? Or does that go off?
anglefire the battery was tripping. But it stayed on. I've had the electrician around today and tightened up all the connections so will see
