Can’t find settings to schedule charging by for battery

Hi, since changing to Octopus Flux and linking the account with the app, the ability to charge my GivEnergy Battery from the grid seems to have disappeared- this haven’t mattered over the summer but I need to change it now I’m not exporting anything and have run out of electricity from solar by about 8pm. Is this an automatic thing that happens that I hadn’t noticed, when you switch to octopus flux? So will it rectify once I’ve changed to intelligent octopus go, now I’ve got an electric car too?

Helsbels Are you on Flux or Intelligent Flux?

I'm on Flux and can charge manually as required through the app so I don't think it's that.

The latter is controlled by Octopus and they determine when the battery charges, but I don't think this should stop you from manually charging.

In your app go to the Hamburger (3 lines) menu > Preferences > make sure Show Quick Settings Button is toggled on and see if that brings back the charge option.

I am on octopus flux, not intelligent flux.
When I click in the hamburger, I don’t have ‘preferences’ as an option?
I have looked through all the bars on the menu and I don’t have ‘quick settings’ anywhere either 😐. It’s like it’s disappeared into thin air. I checked the circle for ‘stop automation’ on one of the menus but nothings changed.
Might call my installer. Unless you have any other ideas?
Octopus are still having problems with their system today so still can’t change over to intelligent octopus go yet either 🙄.

Go to Settings > Preferences > Show Quick Settings, it should be 3rd down under Currency.

If you do have it enabled you should see the cogwheel like the picture to teh right of home dashboard. That cogwheel will have settings for charge/discharge scheduling.

Otherwise you can go to the portal and set up the charging there.

I am on Octopus Flux and it is all working as it should app wise.

Also with Winter round the corner would you not be better off with Octopus Go and charging car+battery during the sub 10p period?

Yes I want to go onto intelligent octopus go but Octopus are having problems with ‘their system’ at the moment so no one can switch to intelligent go until they fix it, hopefully in the ‘ next few days’ they tell me every day I call up!
