Hi,

Up until a few weeks ago my app worked fine with local monitoring, but my internet died for a couple of weeks and now it's back the app won't find the inverter locally, it's all on the same wifi network and the dashboard works fine and the app see it in away mode, but can't get it to connect like at home. Should I restart the wifi setup for the dongle to fix this?****

solid you probably need to do a rescan of the inverter details in the app

Settings / local monitoring/ scan for inverters

I've tried this, but had no luck finding it, obviously on the same wifi network etc.

solid I don't think resetting the dongle will fix it, as the dongle is obviously connected to your WiFi to be able to communicate with the cloud. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

If you know the IP address of your inverter you can enter this in the same area that geoffreycoan mentioned, that might work.

If you're on iPhone you need to make sure location permissions are granted too apparently, although having an Adroid myself I'm not sure if this is true

I've had the same problem for the last few weeks. Away setting works fine but can't get home to work. Does anyone know if GivEnergy even have a customer services department as I've tried leaving feedback several times and had no replies

I connect through a VPN because I am away from home at the moment but that stopped working in local mode recently. As suggested by Cdent I put the IP address of the inverter dongle in the app settings and set the number of retries to 2 and that has got it working again. I also fixed the IP address of the inverter dongle in my router settings.

Tried the uninstall, reinstall, giving it the correct IP but still nothing works, not super important, so will leave it for now.
