Is there a way to top up the batteries using the free electricity during Octopus power ups … or to at least stop drawing from the batteries and divert to the grid during these times?
The only way I have found so far is to change the charge time but it’s a faff. Also, only one of my batteries charge when I do this.
Thank you

NadiaD turning off eco mode would stop it discharging to the house. Any solar would also go to the grid. Or the house if it needed it.

Otherwise as you say, change the charge times.

You could explore home assistant for automation options, see the YouTube videos by speak to the geek.

NadiaD as TX200 says you need to turn off eco mode and setup charging.

In the mobile app the easiest way to do this is with the “quick mode” settings, press battery plus and it’ll force a charge

If you do go down the automation route I’ve got scripts I can share that hold the batter6 from fully charging on an octopus power up day, leaving space for the free charge and exporting excess solar, then from 2-4 forcing a charge up. Works great to maximise the free electricity
