I think the switch to BST went smoothly this year. My system saw a jump in meter details at 01:14 to 02:19. Not quite 01:00 but pretty good and without any user intervention.
Not for me.
I had a timed charge set for 60% for the GO 00:30-04:30 period, the battery stayed above 60% until 05:00 at which point the inverter started maintaining level until 05:30 and then resumed to discharging the battery.
I am not sure at what time the servers update the time clock in the inverter, but with my system it doesn’t look like it did before 05:30 today as the inverter thought 05:00 was actually 4:00 hence the 30 minutes of battery maintain at peak rate electric 🙁

dhb666 has it changed now? look at syste data on the inverter tab. Check date of last update is on BST then scroll back to see when the change happened
It will be interesting to see if they have all adjusted, and over what timeframe. Fortunatley my charging was not impacted. I Due to high PV yesterday my battery was fully charged before the end of planned slots anyway. I guess that was just lucky
I did experience an hours less charge in my EV than I expected though ;-) Ohme coped well with the change

Well the system time updated @01:19 to 02:24 on the next broadcast cycle, but is that inverter time clock or server time stamp ?
It obviously didn’t get reflected in the timed charge software routine as that maintained the battery charge at 60% from 05:00 to 05:30 which is outside the set 00:30 to 04:30 window.
The timed charge has been faultless up to now so I’ll see what happens tonight.

In 'My Inverter' 'System Data' there are entries at 00:58:53 and the next at 02:04:17,I am assuming that that is an indicator that it worked well? I am also hoping that that is a good indicator that my configured battery charge top up in the Octopus Go off peak period is handled correctly and I don't end up importing peak rate units.

Mine doesn't seem right. I have Daylight Saving enabled in the old portal account settings (is this anywhere in the new portal?), and the system updated the clock at 01:14 according to the log, but the inverter time is still on GMT according to the registers. I'm going to update the inverter clock, as otherwise I'm pretty sure it will start charging tonight at the wrong time!

andrew_bond i.e. I think looking at the system data you are seeing times as reported by the portal, not by your inverter.

Just ran a couple of quick timed exports to check. 15:30 to 1540 did nothing. 14:40 to 14:50 exported. My inverter timings are still operating on GMT!

It appears that the timings displayed in Remote Control History show the clock time the inverter is currently working on. All the changes I have made today are being reported in GMT.

Woodstock Seconded. I'd just realised that this was an issue when my timed export to Octopus at 1730 didn't happen. Changed the export time to start from 1630 and it immediately kicked in.

ivell I haven't tested the portal (I find it a pain since there is no builtin help showing the required syntax).
I used givTCP - write.py has a module setDateTime (which I requested last year; I also suggested adding getDateTime but I think that was never implemented)

Mine showed all the correct times but my battery started dischrging when my zappi started charging the car so clearly the times are wrong (its set to charge from 2030). Daylight saving has been a computer issue since tcomputers were invented - it really shouldn't be this difficult. I changed the charge time to 1930 and it started behaving properly.

Problems here too. Timed charge for 21:30 yet to start (22;04 Now). Presumably it will finish late too, meaning I pay peak rate. This sort of thing shouldn't happen!

umm, i commented too soon. The data I was seening was on the portal. That looked correct but I guess its the time a data packet was recieved rather than the time the invertor said it was when it was sent.
Timed events are not working. I have just trieda forced charge for at 22:05 with setting of 22:00. Nothing happens. Change to 2100 and charging starts. So it is an hour out
Thats really confusing as portal makes it look like its changed but hasn't.
I then tried to use the set datetime feature in remote control tab of the inverter, that doesnt work, so there is no wayh to fix this?
I have tried setDateTime in GivTCP but got an error when trying to run it

whilst my system is showing BST clock, I seem to have the same problem as described by @dhb666 and @maphi3 . My battery Smart Charge did not start until 22:30 BST tonight, despite being set for 21:30 (Mode 1, Independent Feature, Smart Charge), and run correctly since November 2021 until tonight, which makes me wonder whether there is a wider problem. I'm on Go Faster 4hrs (21:30-01:30).

If I look on the remote control log I see times one hour out (e.g. set max charge value).
Whereas the system log looked right - however as others have said, thats probably the time from the cloud, not from the inverter itself.

Is there any agreement of what is the best place to check this activity. My battery is set to charge/top up in the usual 00:30 to 04:30 period, the Octopus Go off peak. In the System Data, as I read it, the charge stated at 00:30
So looks like the system did what is is supposed to. Can someone confirm that I am reading the correct indicators?

Hi All,
Looking through the logs, we've noticed a minor error in the setting process which caused the system to record new data using the correct timestamp around 1AM on Sunday, however the date and time did not always update correctly on the hardware even though it reported as doing so. We've run the process again this morning and all systems should now be reading the correct time.
If anyone's inverter is not performing commands at the correct time, please get in touch with the support team.

Sam D (GivEnergy) Hi Sam, thanks for the update. Can I also report that the weather card on the portal is still set to GMT rather than BST. All other reported times look to be fine (the power flow card graph is correct and the time in the inverter details looks good).

Quick timed export test showed that start/stop times are now working correctly in BST. Timestamps in Remote Control History are still in GMT however. My earlier assumption that this would be a good place to check which clock time the inverter was working to would appear to be false!
On the portal My Inverter shows 'Energy Today' as 21.7Kwh, not sure where that is coming from but at 12:39pm BST that is far from correct. Yesterdays total?
