My task for today is to get my usage converted into cost based on time of day and Octopus rate. As I am on Flux I have three rate periods.
Can anyone point me somewhere on how to set up the required tariffs ?

I have set up 3 utility meters for each tariff and a select helper that selects them. Then use an automation to switch them at the right times
simont Thanks Simon; can you explain the logic behind this (still learning about HA) ?
So, set up a utility meter with 3 tariffs, this will create all 3 utility meters for you to add to energy dashboard. Just use the daily in the example here (you can use the GUI to do this)

If you use the octopus integration you can use the current rate as the rate and not have to faff around with multiple meters
naltsta True, but the energy page looks better with all the different tariffs in the bar chart
simont this is exactly what I have. There’s a speak to the geek video on this.
I then extended it to add a 4th tariff for the free octopus power up periods.
Since moving to agile I’ve not managed to reconfigure the energy dashboard correctly for the new rates. Still working on that !
