Hello All,
I finally join the Green community by installing Solar+Battery system and system got commissioned and configured by GivEnergy. It has gone through full charge. Today is my first day and I am seeing Generation > Consumption therefore I should see remaining going to the Grid (Export). But I am seeing Battery also discharge therefore I am seeing as below:

Excess Generation + Battery discharge = Export to Grid.

Problem here I see is I am paying to charge the Battery but then selling back to Grid for free. I believe it should not discharge at all as Generation > Consumption.

Please advise if I am missing to set up something.

I have not yet signed up to SEG as waiting for G98/99.

Thanks in advance.

Here is the example of the situation.

My battery discharges when it gets to 100% down to 95% and then charges again. GE have said l need to update the inverter firmware but l am on holiday at the moment.

Dont get too hung up on those figures as they are only 5 minute snapshots in time and are delayed from actual time.

Hi, we've also just bought panels and 2 batteries, but are waiting for a smart meter, so not linked up to sell to grid yet. Since yesterday, the grid charged our batteries to the highest I've seen them charged, 87%, as we've had lots of rain, but now it's going back to the grid for free... I've checked and its on domicile, rather than timed, so not sure if that's the problem, but it's very frustrating at the moment, as rain is due all day, yet we're sending the electricity back, even if we've charged it in the sun. Any tips please? Thank you

SteveCook thank you Steve. I've just seen your message and link. I've disabled the timed export. It wouldn't allow me to enable eco, but I'll see how this goes. Thank you again.
