Hi, we have a GIV-HY3.6 with a 160 Ah battery, we are on Octopus Flux tariff.

We have been connected since 28th Oct and have been using the "timed charge" function to fill the battery at the cheap rate in the night. Depending on the daily solar and consumption rates, we often have more charge in the battery during the peak rate period than we need to get to the "timed charge" window. We would like to be able to discharge the battery to a specifed percentage during the peak window, but leave enough charge to get to the cheap rate window. This does not seem possible as there is no percentage slider as there is in the "timed charge" option.

Having looked at the forum discussions, there seem to be quite a few regarding the difference between the "timed discharge" and "timed export", but I cant find any that refer to this issue. I presume that "timed export is what I would need to be using

To be able to adjust the high percentage threshold during "timed charge" but not be able to set a low percentage threshold during "timed export" seems to make "timed export" relativley useless

Any ideas?

Thanks

I think the ability to discharge to a certain percentage might come in future firmware updates.

But for now, it's either do it manually or setup some external automation like homeassistant.

Its faily usless as it is, what is the point of having a "smart" tariff if half of it cant be used

How would you do it manually?

This must be device/firmware specific. The AIO has 10 charge and discharge slots each with a %soc slider.

nrobb easiest way to do it manually is in the app

Go into settings/ preferences and turn on quick settings button

Then on the main screen there’s a new button in the middle, looks like a play button. You have quick options to do battery charge, pause and battery discharge
