Save for later

Does anyone know if the Save for later mode, which is in the GE app settings works? I cant seem to get it to? It would be handy to be able to save my battery power if required.

Well you can set a reserve level. That way the battery won't dischargebelow that level - except in the case of power cut it will discharge through the EPC circuit. Then when you want to use the stored power, drop the reserve level.

kwmc The reserve level is only currently working with a beta version of the inverter firmware. Not sure on plans to roll this out more widely, I volunteered for the upgrade for test purposes and it works well.

Not sure if this it’s relevant, but over winter I set a reserve Of 10% and the battery stopped discharging below that if there was any solar production but as soon as that stopped it would discharge down to 5%, then generally drop to the 4% limit.

I’ve now reset the reserve back to 4% as I found that when the solar production was higher it would pull from the grid rather than use the battery which I didn’t want.

I don’t have the backup wired as I don’t need it (ups’s on computer and network)
