Previously in poor weather, the battery has only discharged to 5%. In the recent poor weather it has gone down to 1%. I think that discharging a battery fully is not good for it. I have tried to increase the charge in the Inverter settings but it will not allow me to submit the changes.
MrRobEvans the battery shouldn’t go down that low, you’re correct. I’ve seen m8ne go down to 2 or 3% a couple of times and the inverter charges the battery up itself back to 4%
Mine kept doing this on 3013.
Then I’d get a low voltage error message and it would charge itself back up to about 5% , then discharge again and keep repeating.
I contacted support to be put back onto 3012 and the issue stopped.
Here’s what was happening to me.
Strangely enough I have the same issue. I reported it to GE Support who replied with the following:-
The battery in the system stops discharging to meet the house load at 4% to prevent any wear and tear to the battery cells. However, it is important to note that the remaining reserve of 4% is used to keep the battery running. As a result, the battery may diminish past the 4% limit and, if it reaches 0%, the battery will attempt a grid charge to recover this reserve.
I would like to assure you that this is perfectly normal behaviour and will not cause any damage to the battery. It is simply a safety feature built into the system to ensure the longevity and efficiency of the battery.

Also the 4% isn’t the true 4%
There is a separate percentage that’s real, so the user visible 4% isn’t really 4%
You only get into the really low parts and really high parts of the battery when a calibration is carried out.
