How is it possible that I am export 1.2 kW to the grid whilst my battery is at 20% and charge at 33W?? How can this be charged such that there is NO export to the grid whilst the battery is under 100% charge?

Where are you seeing the data? Remember the app and site only updates every 5 minutes so it is entirely possible you are seeing that moments snapshot while the system rebalances to the grid. The system does not instantly ramp up and down due to regulations.

However if you are using the api and have a faster data refresh you could have another issue....

THALL Okay I understand the delay, but playing around with the settings on the inverter (my Inverter/Remote Control) there is little explanation as to what some of the fields mean, no help guide, no guide at all really. I am getting a little frustrated not having any resources for using the Remote Control page on the portal.

Totally understand that. Pretty much all of the settings on the remote control page are also present under the 'settings' option on the inverter page and are explained better there.

To be fair I think the remote control page is for the select 5% who wish to tamper. The rest of us should be ok with the inverter card settings tab.

judgepd I am talking about the settings page under the inverter page. This settings icon is entitled "Remote Control", but there is NO EXPLANATION as to what the fields represent and how they function in the grander scheme of things.

THALL I made the mistake of tampering. Is there a way to reset to factory settings?

Steve60 Try the inverter card, setting options. Reset to defaults is an option there, then you can set what you want on the same card. As long as ECO is on it should charge from solar correctly.

I meant the inverter card settings option as @THALL says. If you don't know what the remote control settings are then it's probably better to leave them alone. I think that Givenergy should actually put them behind a warning that they are for advanced users only or some wording to that effect.

THALL For some reason it will not reset. Can you tell me what value you have for Inverter Control "Max Output Active Power"? The last field on the page at the bottom.

Steve60 The reason "Reset to defaults" does not work is because of a bug that does not allow the AC Charge 2 End Time to be changed from 00:04 to anything else. I have an outstanding bug report for this. The Inverter Max Output Active Power Percent field is set to 100% on my system.

Woodstock Can you tell me what you have for the following:
Enable AC Charge % Limit (i have OFF)
AC Charge Enabled (again OFF)
Enable ECO Mode ( ON)
AC Charge Limit: 0%
Enable DC Charge (ON)
AC Charge Start (00:00)
AC Charge End (00:00)

I assume the last two are for Economy 7 charging times

@Steve60 I've actually recently spoken to the devs to put something in place like another part of the tour for these settings and some of the information in the inverter information pages.

For the time being I'll be happy to take a look, feel free to pop me an email with your serial number - support@givenergy.co.uk

Adam-Reynolds Thanks Adam. I have sent an email and followed it up with the S/N.

Steve60 I take it you are looking for the default settings for these. I would go with Adam's offer for this information. Mine have been changed many times.
