I am with Octopus intelignet flux, when in dynamic mode my battery discharges normally however when any scheduling takes place to down load my battery goes into idle and does not discharge, any suggestions aor advice to resolve?
Thanks
Battery idles when on scheduling discharge mode
If it is off peak, leave it idle. No point using stored energy when it is off peak, especially with the conversion losses between AC and DC and AC again.
If it’s idle during peak, that’s a bit more annoying. You could try setting it to eco, but Octopus might change it back to eco paused.
Effectively Octopus has full control of the device so you shouldn’t be changing the settings yourself. But the use of grid during peak rate annoys me. Ideally they’d put it in eco until they are ready to export, perhaps with a lower discharge rate so you can’t take all the energy from them!
I thought that, in Intelligent Flux, dynamic / eco mode isn't used - Octopus explicitly control charging and discharging, and turn off eco mode if you try to enable it.
If the battery is idle, that's probably as Octopus intend - the grid might be particularly green, for example. They may want to preserve the power for discharge during the peak period (for which I think they pay more than the cost of import ?)

Interesting, new to this, seems odd for me to charge a battery during off peak for octopus to leave it there during peak period, I never considered they would do this, Thanks for response
