GivEnergy Alexa Skill Beta Test!

Hey all,

Today marks the day that we are starting the beta test for our Alexa skill! Many people have recently joined our family and I'd like to make more people aware of our project!

As a disclaimer, only monitoring will be available currently. Control will be added later on.

If you would like to get involved, please send us a feedback via the portal with the email linked to your Alexa device. You'll receive two emails. One from myself with a process on how to enable and link the skill and the second from Amazon with the actual link to the skill.

Once enabled the skill will be added to your list of skills on the app under a section named 'dev'. Any feedback regarding this beta test will be appreciated highly.

Below you can find a few phrases to try with the skill :

• Alexa, ask GivEnergy, what is my battery percent
• Alexa, ask GivEnergy, what is my current import power
• Alexa, ask GivEnergy, what did I generate today
• Alexa, ask GivEnergy, What did I import today.

Please feel free to ask anything and if you find a phrase that doesn't have a response. Please let us know!

The skill linked very easily although some data does not match the apps (web/IOS) on occasion. I will keep an eye on it over the next few days and report what I can. A great facility to have though 😃

I have yet to receive the Amazon email.Any ideas?

Zakalwe If this is still the case, can you add a feedback with your alexa email and ill see what i can do for you

Deej The values not matching? How so, what commands do you find are leading to incorrect data?

your email did the trick and it's now working.

DeveloperDavid (GivEnergy) for example the export on the app was 0.7kwh and Alexa reported 0.6kwh and for generation the app was 6.1kwn and Alexa stated 5.8kwn. It may be timing but though as this is beta testing I should mention. All the others appeared to quote correctly. If you want to check data I did this test at 14:52 today for the generation and 14:54 for the export.

Are the 4 phrases you listed in your original post all of the available phrases? If there are more, is it possible to get a full list of the phrases which are currently available with the skill please?

Would you like any feedback on the skill at this beta stage?
