BMS Under Voltage notifications

Several times today the portal has shown BMS under voltage notifications, but it clears itself each time after 5-10mins. It looks like the battery drops to 0% each time there is a notification before recharging itself from the grid back up to 4%. It has done this very occasionally before however it has done this 10 times today alone.
It is a 9.5kwh battery which was updated to 3015 from the portal two weeks ago with no issues at the time of updating.

Is this something to be concerned about or as long as the system clears itself should all be fine?

What firmware are you on? I had that on 3013. It can’t be good for the battery and it’s actually losing energy.

I downgraded to 3012 and am now on 3015 and haven’t seen it since.

It's on 3015 firmware. It was all working fine on 3013 previously and had been fine on 3015 until today so I'm not sure what could have changed.

You can check on what the BMS was reporting at intervals on the dashboard just add the battery voltage to the Powergraph page.

It may be just something like boiling the kettle or other high loads being taken from the battery that will make the voltage drop. The BMS will prevent harm to the battery by detecting the situation and disconnecting.

Fridgeman Perhaps an email to support as above, especially if the inverter appears to lock up for a period before it recovers.
If you want to be inquisitive you could compare pre update to post update grid voltages to see if the general voltage trend/pattern has shifted, perhaps the general grid voltage has increased. If it has then it may just be short term while the local grid 'fix' something.

I think the battery is charging right to the calibration limit under normal usage which I don't think should be happening. I can see more than 2 cells at 3.56V when this 9.5kW G2 battery hits 100%.

Last firmware discharged the battery to unacceptably low levels, this one seems to overcharge.....

Edit - I'm setting mine to a target SoC of 95% for the overnight charge, we'll see if that keeps it happy.

Edit to update - pausing charge at 95% for 30 minutes then resuming charge keeps the cell voltages down nicely. It IS charging to calibration limits however which I really don't think should be happening but that's on GE if there's problems.
