British Gas Peaksave API script possible to charge batteries Sundays only?

Good morning all,

I profess to having ceased coding back in the age of QBASIC, so the API is a little greek to me, but for people that are familiar with it, is it possible to create a script to charge the battery from mains between 11am and 4pm every sunday only? Currently, I have to change it manually every Sunday morning, and occasionally forget to change it back, so it charges on the monday until I notice.

With the news that Peaksave Sundays will now continue until at least the end of February, I think it would be worthwhile getting a script together, if it's viable.

If anyone is able to advise or confirm, it would be greatly appreciated!

SteveCook Hi Steve, thank you for the suggestion - unfortunately, as I am dual-fuel with British Gas, who are running the Peaksave Sundays promotion, I'm not able to use Octopus labs (It needs your octopus customer number to create and locate your account.

How about WonderWatt ,though I have not looked at it.
Failing that HA can pretty much do whatever you want

WonderWatt only defines hours, not specific days, so it's the same issue, unfortunately. I was hoping that the Giv app would support it, but the only British Gas profile is for EVs at present

Eowaril However... I think if you set WW up to do your 00:02 to 04:57 every dsy you just need to set up Giv. to do the Sunday slot and WW will overwrite it when it does the following 00:02 - 04:57 session, you shouldn't need to remember to cancel it.
Equally worth signing up for the WW community pages and adding your requirement theres.

Eowaril sending a command to the API twice a week is pretty trivial. With some fiddling around, you could perhaps even write the script on something as basic as a Shelly plug. Slightly more up-market, but less complicated than HA, the schedule in PALM could be easily modified to action this, it already has the code for a second charging slot for Cosy, etc.

Allowing people to take advantage of specific (weekly) saver sessions and topping up before they kick in. Or to make sure you have plenty of battery charge for the Sunday roast!
