Solar night generation

I was perusing my data and spotted an interested phenomena - throughout the night according to the data I am generating energy from solar between 1 and 25 watts at any point in time. Any ideas why the system thinks there is solar at night when the main inverter is asleep. (this is with a Fronius solar inverter + a Giv AC inverter)

locked does your PV inverter stay powered from AC at night. If so the clamp is probably seeing that power to run the inverter (given I don’t think the portal knows what to do with what would be a negative PV value as it’s not technically possible for PV to consume) just shows the value as generation.

I think hoggy has it. My system ran for the first two months with the CT clamp on the AC inverter supply fitted back to front! Made absolutely no difference to reported figures or graphs when I turned it the "correct" way round. Seems (as far as PV is concerned) that the system is only worried about the magnitude of the flow and not the direction and treats power in both directions as if it is PV generated.

Same here. 43W for 2 invertors and a remote wifi AP.

Have asked can an option to null these low readings. Say under 100W is 0W.

The direction the CT is facing is only going to make a difference if it is coupled to a power meter. Otherwise, you just measure 'current', not 'current at a phase angle to the voltage'
