Hi,

Once added both batteries should act as one big battery, But you should know this if your a installer ?
The customer has purchased the battery and 'installed it' but it's not showing on the portal. I never said I was an installer, I'm working retrospectively on an install installed by another company. I have come after and re-commisioned it as I have completed the Givenergy training and the customer wanted an EPS set up.
I require guidance on adding the additional battery please.
Callum1990 this is mostly a consumer forum.
Installers should be able to commission it, but it probably has to be the original installer unless they are willing to hand over the customer and installer access to you.
Alternatively GE can do it if you send them the details (I guess battery serial and inverter serial, plus customer email address and possibly postcode).
Via support email or webchat when that is open. Maybe by phone, but guessing email is easier with lots of long numbers to read to them.
This is what Givenergy told me has to be done. Note this was 3 months ago when 3013 was not great.
Don't know if would have to be done if both batteries on 3015
"in regards to adding another battery, i recommend the installer cross checks the voltages and % of both batteries before installation, he may have to force discharge the current battery or charge it to match the capacity of the new battery,
with the master battery being on 3013 i also recommend a manual firmware update on the master battery before installation of the new battery, then do a manual firmware update on the new battery to 3012 as well. please ask the installer to call us up as soon as he is ready to do the work and we will provide him with the firmware.
just a quick rundown for simplicity:
Thank you very much!
