Battery not charging fully overnight

Could anyone please advise? I've recently gone onto Intelligent Octopus which gives 6 hours overnight cheap rate electricity. I was hoping that setting my battery to 100% and the charge from grid to take place between 11.30pm and 5.30am it would fully charge. However it only ever gets to around 80%, and looking at overnight grid use it really ramps down from around 3am, with little drawn until morning..

Hi check this guide to see if you have settings close to this

Thank you for this. I've reset and reconfigured as advised and will see how it goes tonight!

Unfortunately the same thing happened - charge from grid ramped down from 3a.m. Any more ideas please?

J1m do you have any external agents messing with your config? On the web portal, any cloud-based changes should get recorded in the log at the bottom of the remote-control page.
HA typically won't appear there, since tends to use local access to perform updates.
GE also seems to have some sort of smart tariff support you can enable. I don't know anything about those, though.

Thanks for the reply DD. I'm not sure where to find the remote control logs? As far as I know there are no cloud controls taking place. I do have HA, but currently have all automations disabled for winter. The Smart Tarrif setting looks interesting, nut I also have no idea where to find that!

J1m on the inverter page on the web, there are some icons in top-right corner. One of these - the cogs - is the remote control page. Scroll down to the bottom of that, and there's a log of activity

Thanks for that. Yes I've found that now, but nothing undue in the logs..

What % soc is it at when the ramp down occurs?

Also, check your inverter remote control area for
AC charge Upper % limit
AC charge 1 Upper soc % limit

Depending on the firmware version of the inverter, one of these may be imposing a limit despite what you may have set in the app.
