I have a variable electricity tarrif. How can I avoid charging the battery between 16:00 and 19:00? I normally run it in eco mode.
Specify times to NOT charge the battery
set it to only charge 1900-1600?
The battery won't charge during that period unless you tell it to. It'll sit in eco mode and if you run out of battery you will run from grid.
The battery can spontaneously charge a little from the grid if it suddenly runs out. This is to protect itself from a low-charge state - don't think you can prevent it. But this should be very rare, and I assume you want to avoid running if charge then anyway
pacemaker Isn't that a force charge time? I have set it to charge 02:00 to 04:00 - and that's exactly what it does - charge.
DD If only it didn't feel empty during my expensive rates 😉 I couldn't see anything on the settings panel so had a feeling this could be the case.

If it still doesn't make sense it might help if you told us exactly what you have installed and which tariff you are on
