We’ve just had our PV and GivEnergy battery’s installed.
We have a podpoint charger and have plugged in the car this evening. It pulls from the GivEnergy battery and grid for about 3 minutes and stops. Podpoint shows a red light, unplug car, plug back in and it goes for another couple of minutes and stops again.
Anybody have any ideas why?

Pauljmiddleton I have the same setup with no problems. Sounds like a fault with the Podpoint / cable / car / earthing.

I've contacted the installers this morning to see what they can do, it's been working with no issues for a year now, so long as it's supposed to work that way, which we assumed it was, I'll see what they say.

My charger used to do this. Turned out to be the grid voltage dipping under load. I used the grid voltage graph from my inverter to show the DNO the problem. They then switched me to a different phase which had a higher voltage.
TonyHayden Interesting, I'll have a look, we actually managed to get it to work on one of our cars by contacting PodPoint, for anybody else hitting this looking for a solution, If you add a PodPoint BEFORE adding PV you have to tell them and they then flick a switch over the air to tell the PodPoint as such and it started working...... For our Mini EV! The EQC on the other hand is having a complete nightmare with it! It doesn't seem to like the constant fluctuation of power (or at least that's my assumption!), we have an iPad in the house which has the inverter data on it all the time, I can see the constant shifting of power from grid to battery to PV and the power draw for the EQC flaps up and down from 3KW to 6KW, it eventually says, stuff you then, sends a command to the PodPoint saying no more please! The PodPoint then just sits flashing green in a grump!
I'm currently talking to PodPoint about it but I suspect they'll just fob me off now and say it's the EQC, even though it was working pre install.
