I'm having difficulty keeping the EV connection to the app & GivTCP online. It seems like the charger connects for 1 hour then will lose connection.

Pinging the IP for the charger works throughout and only seems to drop a few packets over multiple hours.

GivTCP reports "Connection Refused" which seems to be the main issue as it lines up when the connection is lost to the app & GivTCP.

Any idea what the problem might be? "Connection Refused" is intermitent so I wouldn't expect there to be a security / network config issue as that should be consistent.

Is it failing after a specific time or a certain number of connections? Try changing the delay from 5seconds to 30seconds and see
if it makes a difference.

Based on the “System Time” history in Home Assistant it remained connected between 00:05 & 03:30 before dropping out to the state it’s remained in for 24 hours.

I’ve switched over to 30 seconds and will attempt a power cycle in the morning to hopefully allow it to establish the connection again.

If EVC fw is >1.07 then it can't handle local and cloud. It drops off all the time apparently

hoggy Ah, interesting. I'm currently on AC_GL1_1.07 so that could explain the issue. Is there a discussion thread somewhere about the firmware issues?

Might see if removing from the GE app helps as well then

Rubikcube Switching over to 30 second updates does appear to have helped. The charger has stayed online for almost 24 hours now.

But, no command has actually been sent to the charger so can’t say for sure just yet.

hoggy thanks for sending that over! I wasn’t aware there was a new beta forum. Will definitely keep an eye on that.

Hopefully new firmware comes out soon 🤞

Disconnected once again. With 30 second updates it managed 56 hours before locking up.

Removed from GE cloud, will see if that makes a difference 🤞
