I have an AC3, so what on earth does the "Enable AC charge upper %" actually do?
I tend to have it checked and tend to always charge to 100%, but I have noticed that with this combination the charge/discharge can oscillate. So should I un-check when charging to 100% and check when charging to some other level ?
All it does is tell the system whether to charge to a pre defined percentage or charge to full.
When you set a percentage of say 58% it should toggle that other variable as well as change the actual percentage variable.
The oscillation I believe is a bug which is better if not completely fixed on a later firmware release. Not sure when that release will be made public though.
If it's a significant problem, then email support for advice - maybe they can push out the fix for that issue.
I assumed it was a fw issue. I'll email the Giv support who are normally pretty good.
I was hoping that the oscillations were due to that upper charge setting !
Roberto the oscillations are a known bug, rectified in the latest firmware.
If you set your charge power to 0W once target reached the oscillations stop. This does rely on you having "something" like HA setting that for you, unless you work nights and nanny it....
Haha. I'm trying to avoid automations; I'll just lose track of what is doing what !
