Over the last couple of days my home automation has started getting a number of inverter offline errors after using the charge battery API. The HTTP Response is :-
HTTP response {"chargeFlag":"-1","chargeScheduleStart":"Inverter Offline","chargeScheduleEnd":"Inverter Offline","chargeUpTo":"Inverter Offline"}

I've monitored the inverter from app and mobile and always appears online.

@Mickey (GivEnergy) @Danlambert (GivEnergy) can you investigate why the APIs are now failing with inverter offline?

just an idle thought could this be caused by the mobile apps local access hogging access to the inverter?

Hi locked

A -1 response means the inverter is offline at real time. The app and mobile details the latest timestamp given from the inverter but it is not real time and so has nothing to do with changing your inverter settings. Perhaps your inverter was in the middle of something or there was bad signal, it could be a factor of things that caused it but just call the API response again if it does so, its not an issue with the API layer.

Mickey (GivEnergy) its only started happening in the last few days and the only change that I am aware of is the new mobile app with local connect support. Given the mobile app is collecting data on a much more frequent basis could this make the inverter look offline to other callers such as external API requests?

Potentially, I was informed of the app update using local control. That certainly sounds like a good reason the inverter might not process the API as intended
