I've just switched internet providers from BT to ZEN and now have a FritzBox router but I can't see the new network when I connect to the dongle to set it up. I don't think it's a signal strength issue because I've checked other devices next to the inverter and they have a strong signal. I also split the 5GHz and 2.4GHz into different networks but it can't see the 2.4 still. Any ideas?
Did you recreate your wifi login details on the new router or are you using what the new router came with?
If the latter usual fix is to revert back to wifi credentials of old router.

Thinking to the future! - is there a way to ‘read’ the dongle connection so I can write it down for the inevitable modem fail?
I have two internet systems and don’t remember which my installer connected to and they have since gone bust.

Login to your router
Look for connected devices, it will be called something like HA-AF21 (that is mine)
Write down the IP address 192.166.1.XX and type that into a browser and it should take you to the dongle settings.
May need a password to get in.
My login is admin (default) and XXXX (I changed mine for security reasons)

I'm currently paying for Internet provision from 2 providers. I was connected to FTTH in November and supplied with a new router. The router is a Linksys SPNMX and is quite a good spec. It connects to my provider " toob " with speeds of 900Mb. My initial attempts to get the new router talking to my Inverter were a bit hit and miss. I also have a Fritzbox from the excellent Zen Internet which my Givenergy system is connected to via a TP Link range extender which gives a solid connection. I've had a dabble and done the necessary research to sort all this out and eventually complete the switch to the toob FTTH connection. The reason I'm holding off is that my wife is in the final couple of weeks of writing her dissertation which must be submitted electronically by the 11th of this Month. Once that's done I will attempt to seamlessly switch over, until then I'll plod along as is just in case everything falls over.
To be honest Ive thrown in the towel trying to get wifi to work, we went with hard wiring via extenders in my install and I just live with cloud updates

My setup lives in an outhouse a couple of metres from the house so WiFi is my only realitic option, and to be fair, it is working well with my existing Fritzbox / TP Link extender. The Fritzbox is an excellent piece of kit and according to the documentation it is really straightforward to use it with my new fibre connection, just a matter of a few internal settings and swapping the cable port over. That's going to be the first thing I try next week👍
So I've managed to get it working now. Firstly I set up a guest network on the FriztBox with the old network name and login credentials to check if the dongle would connect to the router at all, and that worked. But I couldn't use the app 'home' settings because it's on its own network.
So having established there was no real settings or dual-band issue I logged into the setup of the dongle and it still wouldnt see any wifi networks, not even my neighbours. So I tried manually entering the SSID and passcode, saved, rebooted and it went back to the old network.
Didn't make any sense so I manually put them in again and rebooted, and about 5 minutes later it had connected! Not sure if that will help anyone, but manually entering worked for me in the end, no need to split the 2.4 and 5GHz networks.
Having done battle with quite a few different brands of router over the years I'd say that the Fritzbox has an excellent interface/ control panel, probably the best I have had to deal with.
