Since my inverter firmware upgrade to 913 the Inverter app has not been able to connect. I know this is not an official app but was very useful for local monitoring/control. I have removed the App and installed again. Anybody else seeing this issue?

Sounds like your inverter IP address has changed since you installed the upgrade and the inverter rebooted. Use the GE App and scan for inverter to find its current IP address. I have set my router to keep the same IP for the inverter so this doesn’t happen.

The Inverter app stores the IP address in a file when you first configure it. May need to edit the IP address.

treborUK Thank you, you are correct the IP has changed, now trying to find the correct one. I tried the scan and not found also downloaded Fing app and cannot find it. I have BT as my ISP and home users cannot set static IP so may need to look at an alternative.

It's your local network ip address you need. You should be able to log in to your BT router and access a list of connected devices (with their addresses).

SimonP Yea this is how I got it. Does anybody know what the best way is to fix an IP address using BT home hub can it be done? I have reached out to BT and they say only business customers can get static, the option is there but reverts back when saved. I have a Tenda mesh system so may need to map all over to that.

Rodmac76 your internet connection isn’t static with BT but you when you login to your bt hub you should be able to select the inverter in the networking list and tell it to always give it the same IP address.

Rodmac76 Id call BT back up and tell them you don't want a static IP address you want to assign equipment on your network to use the same IP address all the time, I don't have a BT Hub im afraid though so wouldn't know how to do it personally.

There are probably youtube videos for it though.

I think BT are getting confused between a static internet IP address (which is often chargeable) and reserved IO address that are local, e.g. dishes out by the BT router.

Normally BT routers reserve an IP address for things on your local network automatically these days. But you can check by logging into the router probably via the web address bthomehub.home or something like that. Then into devices as far as I remember.
