All in One and Gateway still generating wifi in LAN mode?

Hello, my All in One and Gateway are connected by ethernet. But they are both still generating their own wifi networks. The DIP switches are set to LAN on both. Why would this be?

They are always active you just choose which you need to use as for some reason you need to tell it 🤷‍♂️

The AP staying active can be handy if you are trying to determine why comms are failing if you get gaps in data on portal as if you can connect to it and browse the internet then its establishing a connection and you probably just have the typical comms dropout that restarting the inverter can solve.

You can choose to hide it so it doesn't show up but that means you have to remember what you called it and its password.

If you are concerned with wifi being there you can just disconnect the antenna (installers failed to install mine and still have not done so or sent it back, I need to get back on them about that because no part of it should have left the property) and I pretty much have to be next to the unit to connect to it.

Jellybaby Ah, now that's a good idea. I might just remove the antennas
untill GivEnergy update the firmware to enable us to switch WiFi off. It's a waste of electricity, a potential gaping security risk (with it's habit of the Access point resetting to wide open with no password after a reset), plus it pollutes the radio spectrum causing interference in the crowded 2.4Ghz spectrum.
