Has anyone used the Axle energy export offer ?

Works ok for me. Effectively when an event is announced, Axle set new schedule settings to manage your battery charge/discharge for the event and then put it back to your previous settings afterwards. You can just register with them once and it should just work automatically for you for each event thereafter…. Once you’ve got more that £10 of credit due, they pay it out to your chosen bank account a few days later. I have an AIO so typically export 5kWh+ at a price of £2.xx /kWh so clear the £10 hurdle after an hour (the minimum event length thus far).

However, some people find that the Axle Energy takeover of their charge / discharge schedule is sub optimal and doesn’t get reset correctly / immediately after a DFS event e.g.

• charging before the event - too slow/fast a rate, too high/low SoC %, kicks in too soon/late
• discharging during the event - same as the above
• reset after the event - doesn’t go back to preferred settings, or doesn’t reset quick enough

I usually set reminders for 90 mins before an event, at event time and at the end of the event - and check via the GE app that the Axle settings are sensible and being applied correctly. If not, I can force charge / discharge via the app manually, or override the Axle settings with my preferred configuration (time window, power setting, target soc%).
