I've recently noticed that "Slot 1" is noted above Start Time and End Time. Can I now select more than one time slot for charging the battery during the day?
Settings: Timed Charge
BrianNWakely You don't say where you're seeing this.. Some inverters (with recent firmwares) can have multiple slots shown in the remote control section on the portal - two or ten, IIRC. If yours doesn't, then you probably don't have them. I think gen-1 inverters don't have sufficient resources to provide multiple charge or discharge slots.
If your inverter doesn't offer this facility, an external agent such as wonderwatt.com might be useful.
Inverter Model GIV-AC3.0, Software Version D0.535-A0.535 Commission 02-03-2021. Used with two GIVENERGY batteries. Is it possible to update to have more than one timed charge slot per day?
BrianNWakely According to the kb

there are newer firmwares available. I don't have this model, so can't comment on whether it adds multiple charging slots.
Does the portal offer you a firmware update ?
Thank you for the advice about updating firmware. I will leave trying this until I have found out if it will give me the option of multiple slots. in the mean time I will continue to use the single slot which works quite adequately. Again thank you.
BrianNWakely wonderwatt.com is way to achieve multiple charging slots. That presumably uses the API to reconfigure the inverter dynamically during the day. You can of course do that yourself with a simple script running on a raspberry pi or similar. Or many people here use home assistant to perform all sorts of automations.
There's a free 3rd-party inverter monitor app for android. As a premium add-on feature, it can do scheduling. I've tried it, but I assume it can emulate multiple charging periods.
