Octopus Outgoing Agile for solar and battery

We are currently on Octopus Go Intelligent so on a cheap night tariff of 9.5p.
When I bought the system I went for a large battery (2 x 9.5kWh) thinking it is good as we have high use due to Heat pump (but fairly low EV use) and I'd be able to store and export the cheap night electricity when it's warmer and the house requires less.

However I now find that on the Intelligent EV tariff (9.5p cheap night rate) my choices are limited for export, either (1) SEG - useless 4p per kWh or else (2)Outgoing Fixed Lite which is 8.5p so OK for excess solar but still no use for the stored night tariff import. So we are looking into (3) the Outgoing Agile.

It looks like I can set the battery export for the good teatime rate which seems to be mostly 1600 - 1900. The day export (for excess solar) is mostly a bit lower than the fixed 8.5p though.

So I'm wondering if anyone with similar situation has any experience and info to share on this?

Pete Thomas Intelligent Go is 7.5p overnight for 6 hours, and gives access to the better export rates. Standard Go might be 9.5p - I thought it was 9p? - and only allows access to Outgoing Fixed Lite (which I thought was 8p, but maybe both have gone up ?) Standard Go does not have access to Outgoing Agile. (There's a table somewhere of which export works with which import.)

Need to check which version of Go you are on.

I am on Intelligent Octopus Go at 7.5p/kWh 11:30 to 05:30 and 30.6p forthe rest of the day.
For export I am on Outgoing Octopus 12M Fixed at 15p/kWh export. This allows me to top up to 100% overnight and export at 15p at any time during the day.
I was on the Export Agile with good 16:00 -19:00 export rates but using these rates conflicted with the GiveBack events.

Like you I have 2x9.5 batteries

You of course can have a different tariff in the summer from winter, e.g. Flux in the summer where you've more solar generation and less heat pump usage and Go/Intelligent Go/Agile/Tracker in the winter when you've got higher demand. That's what many on the forum do.
