Any ideas why my inverter keeps starting to discharge back to the grid, and into the house, even though all settings are off?
They are set to off on the app, and off on the dashboard settings. but i keep seeing it discharging back to the grid, (which I never ever want to do - I want to keep it for myself)

What I have noticed though is sometimes I can flick between screens on the dashboard then when I look, eco mode has re enabled itself, even though I keep switching it off and saving it.

I currently have the 5kw hybrid inverter and 1 5.2kw battery. No solar is currently fitted. I charge it up between 00.30 and 04.30 and want to keep the battery charged up until around 16.00 until 22.00 ish and use it then to assist with energy use around the house.
Any ideas for best settings as this is driving me nuts exporting to the grid! If that's the case I'll just switch it off.

Thanks

To use the energy stored in the batteries in a time slot there is the Timed Discharge Mode :- "This mode will discharge your batteries to your home during a period you define"

locked I have been using that, but sometimes after i switch between pages, that switches off and eco mode becomes active again and will often allow my battery head to the grid which I don't want that to do.

And what i've also noticed is that on the app for Timed Battery Discharge, there is 2 settings which you can change, however on the cloud dashboard there is only one time setting you can put in, surely these should be the same?

Is this a brand new commission? I got the same thing in the first 24 hours and no where is there documentation to describe this behaviour, and no response from support either

the app is a little out of date and I believe being updated. (I have also had a flaky experience with the settings in the app)

In the web portal -> Inverter page the main settings panel only shows one discharge time slot. If the remote control (gear icon) is selected (top right of inverter panel) then it opens up all the inverter settings which includes the 2 discharge time slots.

re eco mode changing state when not requested suggest a bug is raised to report this (via feedback)

locked I've not been able to change the second discharge settings. Is that obsolete now?

I have been having problems with our battery exporting to the grid from midnight until morning resulting in us pulling from the grid early morning as the battery is down to 4%. I have had numerous emails with technical support but the Eco mode or "Dynamic" doesn't appear to retain the energy in the battery, but prioritises discharging it to the grid instead leaving us short. I think this is incorrect but GivEnergy cannot seem to set the Dynamic mode up as it should run (in my opinion)

jd afraid I don't use the discharge settings on my setup, just aware of the dual discharge times being available in the remote control section. If they are not working suggest putting feedback in as its a little odd that on the main settings panel there is one time slot and on the remote control there are 2.

Once again I find my system exporting to the grid, even though it was switched off, just looked at settings and once again the export was enabled. Surely this has to be an issue of somekind?

locked support finally replied and said discharge 2 are not in use

DeanoC75 sounds like a support issue to report. It's not normal behaviour.

jd would be handy if removed from GUI / API or marked as not in use
