Two questions:
Is it possible for the charger to modulate charging rate to protect the electricity supply company fuse if there is an overload. Using a CT clamp (or if we install a battery with some functionality of the battery gateway)?
We have two cars, one has a type 2 socket and the other a type 1 socket. Can this charger be used for the type 1 car?

Probably not - you almost certainly want an untethered chargepoint for this, and I think the GE chargepoint is only availble as a type-2 tethered unit. (Since I have a type-1 car, I went with an untethered Zappi, to get IOG compatability - I didn't like Ohme's offering, and the other IOG-compatible chargepoint is Wallbox, which is also tethered only.)
There may be type-1 to type-2 adapters around, but I believe that they don't lock together properly, and you really don't want them to come apart while passing a high current.
