Being a non-tech savvy user hmm anytime give me some help. Yesterday my battery went dirwyn to 0%. I thought it was not meant to go below 4%. On the inverter the cur e that is normally green is solid pink/red. Even though the panels are producing a little (400w) it is going to the grid rather than the battery.
What is going on and how do I fix it?
Any advice gratefully received
Alan

AlanHughes It sounds like the battery and inverter are not communicating.
This could be a software corruption or a hardware failure.
First and easiest thing to do is turn everything off - there’s a shutdown procedure in the installation manual (on the givenergy kb website if you need to find it). Then on powering on, once the inverter is back up and on the internet, do a ‘reset to defaults’ on the portal which should reset your inverter to standard settings.
This cures many such problems.
It may be a hardware failure with the battery - what colour are the lights on the battery, or it may be that the data cable between the battery and inverter has fallen out/come loose. You’re getting in the territory of calling givenergy support or your installer now though to diagnose the problem
