Anybody getting involved with this? Any idea on price / availability of the charger needed?

BlokeFromStoke Exciting stuff. I’ve long thought V2G is the way to go, far more kWh plugged into your house than you could practically buy from GivEnergy or any other battery manufacturer.

Interesting, but I think the limiting factor will be the EVSE. Is the Quasar Wallbox even available for general sale? The old version was £5K just to buy the charger, if I recall correctly.

Certainly an exciting development. Not something that I have a capable car or charger to take advantage of. But I would hope in the future that these features become more common and that I would be able to support the gring in this way

Really interesting and another innovative Octopus tariff.
The block is likely to be the car. By coincidence, I was in a main BMW dealership yesterday and I asked whether their next range of EVs, would have V2G or V2H built in.
No-one knew what I was talking about.

Its a good idea but it would cost a bit to replace my Tesla as they don’t do V2 anything - at least at the moment… Would take a fair old saving to make it worth it!

This is a redressing of PowerLoop from 2021 without the big discount on the Wallbox. I signed up at the time but pulled out at the last minute after finding out about the rapidgate issue with the Leaf and realising the eNiro was simply a much better EV all round so went with that

Maybe not a good choice back then or new now, buy an old (₂₀₁₃) Nissan Leaf.. for about £3.5k with a 24kWh battery might be an options for some. Here is some data from when they launched V2H.
