Afternoon, how reliable is the usage shown on the app? As looking at it compared to my octopus usage app numbers are way off?
Thanks in advance

Usage numbers

Whilst there is usually a small margin of error that does look too big to be down to CT clamps. Is yours in the right place would be the first place I'd check
Gards you can't use that view on the app, since it's not showing grid to battery. Select the grid import view. That said, the corresponding bars on octopus do look like they're almost twice the power.
Also, if you have an EV chargepoint wired up before the CT clamp for GE, the inverter logs can't record that.
Thanks for this info I will check when I get in tonight.
This is what I can see

Gards Is this something that has changed recently, or has it been wrong since installation?
DD to be honest with the poor light I've not 100% kept an eye on the app. It was installed in sept/Oct time. I'll have an in depth look tonight and see.
Gards it was this thread that got me wondering whether it could be a calibration issue with the EM115 or whatever monitor you have installed.

or something similar, like the CT clamp not being properly latched closed, or too close to another CT clamp, or things like that. But most of these would tend to have been wrong from installation time.
Cdent the CT seems to be placed in the correct position and fully clamped down? That is from my understanding
DD it would appear having a quick look over my usage and what the giv energy system is saying it's been going on since installed late October. I think I might have to get the installer out to have a look unless it's just something simple I can do myself?
Gards I was going to suggest that you slide the CT clamp slightly to the left so it was further away from the neutral line which it might be picking a current up off, but if it was getting extra current you’d think the GivEnergy would over-read rather than under.
Might still be worth a try, but think you should get the installer out, yes.
geoffreycoan the neutral current would be flowing the other way, so would tend to reduce, rather than augment, the reading.
DD which would match what’s seen, that the inverter readings are lower than the octopus meter readings
