Hi, I have a GivEnergy 5.2 kWh battery combined with a Gen 3 inverter and solar panels. The tariff in use is Octopus Intelligent Flux.
When I select the battery graph on the GivEnergy App I can see that my battery charges from 20% to 100% each day and back again. This averages just over 3 kWh per day of charge and a fraction less discharge.
However when I select the More Information label on the graph page it dispays slightly different figures and pressing the Primary label gives a new graph. On this graph with the same days data it shows the battery is charging from 29% to 95% and back each day.
Can anyone kindly explain what these two graphs actually displaying.

RWestlake What you are seeing on the main vs. more information is the difference between the total capacity and the usable capacity of your battery.

Your 5.2kWh is a 80% depth of discharge battery which means only 80% of the battery is usable, i.e. about 4.2kWh.
So both screens are correct with the different %’s, they are showing different things, whether its the % of usable capacity or the % of total space.

Also if you’re on Intelligent Flux it never uses all the pack anyway and stops at 20%.
I never did get an answer as to why, either Octopus are unaware of the buffers already baked in to the SOC reading or they leave 20% on the table for those with EPS for power outages was my only realistic thoughts.

Yeah I assumed 20% for EPS just in case.

Although that said, it's only a three hour peak so they could discharge down to say 12% and then charge up again after 7pm.
