Hello in order to connect my hybrid Inverter to my network, I have used the guest network as it is set to WPA2-Personal, so to use the app in local mode, i have to switch to the guest network. The Inverter will not connect to a network running WPA2/WPA3-Personal, are there any plans to improve this limitation.
The dongles in the GivEnergy inverters are not great. They don’t support 5GHz connections either (only 2.4). I am pretty sure I had similar issues when I moved to a new wifi.
This really is a question for GivEnergy product development. They don’t often look at this forum so best if you call GE directly and log a support ticket with them. It wouldn’t surprise me if theres (a) no such plans or (b) a future upgrade and you have get the installer to fit a new wifi dongle, it not being a software upgrade.

There are plans for new dongles, but not sure of timescales.
